I finally changed the layout. It’s still ugly, but it’s less ugly. I’ll be changing it again later when I’m not as lazy. You guys are awesome and should submit your suggestions in the meantime. Thanks. :)

heyy. i just got accepted by BU! and i was wondering if the CAS is a strong school. and how does it compare to NYU? im considering between these two

CAS is great, but it really depends on what program you’re considering. I don’t know much about NYU, but everyone jokes that BU is where you go if you can’t get into NYU. That’s not necessarily true—I know several people who turned down NYU to come here. If you have a specific major in mind, check out the reputation of it at both schools. I don’t know, I obviously love BU, so I’m going to tell you we’re better. :)

So many people are sending in their experiences with grade deflation or lack thereof. I don’t want to post them all, but basically I’m getting mixed answers about people’s experiences. So, like everything else at BU, it differs among schools and classes and majors.

Also, in response to one comment, I don’t think the physics averages are gay. Unless, you know, one C+ is having intercourse with another C+ of the same gender. And if that’s the case, that’s cool.

Im a 2nd year pre med chem major at BU. I have seen several counts of grade deflation so far in my time here, when the grades have been lowered to fit a bell curve that averages to about a C. Grade deflation isn't huge. Most times when curves are used, it helps the class. However the science courses are VERY competitive, and most intro level courses are meant to weed people out. That being said, youre gonna have to work for a grade. I feel I've worked pretty hard, but have never gotten an A here

Where do people who don't live around Boston usually store their things over the summer? I'm from California and I'm not about to drag all of my shit back and fourth. Any suggestions? Preferably some cheap and reliable options pretty pleaseeee

Last summer I used StudentLS. It’s a pretty good deal for both storage and shipping. I definitely recommend them. Anyone else know of any other good options?

I was thinking about transferring to BU, but I've read a lot of grade deflation and I'm sort of discouraged by it. What do you think about it?

I’ve never experienced grade deflation. All my grades at BU have reflected how much work I put into my classes. I’m not in math or science, though, and I’ve heard grade deflation has been more of an issue in those areas.
